A MYOB survey (http:/www.yourpeoplemanager.com/Yf79RB9oivVsHw.html) shows that a quarter of small businesses spend at least one day per week on routine admin - which adds up to ten working weeks per year.

• 69% of business owners feel there is never enough time in the day to do all the paperwork and office chores.
• 37% of small businesses still use paper and pen to conduct their company's accounts - despite the growing availability of IT and accountancy software packages in recent years.
• 52% of small firms have not automated processes such as the writing of letter templates, contracts, fax covers and reports - all basic jobs on any standard computer.
• 30% of business owners say they find it difficult to keep their finances in order, a headache that could be lessened if firms developed proper financial plans.
